William C Reeves vs John Stephens

The ads began after the Fair in Oct 1879.

Reeves objected to the fact that Stephens stated he had won an award for photographs; saying that the award was only for 'potmetal tintypes' and not
able therefore to be called a photograph award.

The ads by Reeves continued until the next Fair when he states that no one else dared enter their photos against him.
